Branches

ETAG has 9 regional branches in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Akhaltsikhe, Poti, Telavi, Zugdidi, Rustavi, and Gori.

Setting up a branch is usually an initiative of one person from the region, who advertises ETAG activities in the region. She collects the people who want to be ETAG members and get involved in ETAG activities. For setting up an official branch the regional representative invites ETAG board representatives from the head office in Tbilisi and organises a meeting where all interested teachers are present. Heads of regional branches are elected for two-year terms and can be re-elected only once. The requirement for approval of the new branch by the ETAG board is at least ten members.
