English Language Teachers' Professional Development in Ajara

On 23rd May the project Improving Teaching Methodologies and Supporting English Language Teachers’ Professional Development in Ajara was launched at the Adjara Education Fund.
The Project Management Team is represented by the British Council, Batumi Teachers House, English Teachers Association of Georgia (ETAG), The National Centre for Teacher Professional Development and The National Curriculum Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. The project will end in December 2015.

11 local Trainer/Mentors and 38 English language public school teachers were selected to participate in the project. Project Management Team presented detailed project plan and activities that focus on introducing Continuing Professional Development system in schools by encouraging effective mentoring, self-reflection and needs based development.
